Alton Humphrey Sr.
Hump's BBQ originated with the vision of honoring my grandfather Alton Humphrey Sr. a World War II veteran. Alton was a military cook and upon being honorably discharged he ventured into becoming a chef, during this time his passion for cooking was developed and grew. As a child, I watched and learned a few tricks and his passion latter became mines. In 2007 Alton passed away, but the love we had for his cooking as a family continued.
From Sauce To Smoke
It was in 2017 that I embarked on making Gourmet BBQ sauces and in that year Hump's Gourmet Sauces was created and bottled. My passion grew and I vowed that everything related to cooking I would name in honor of my grandfather.
A Family-Driven BBQ Legacy
In 2019 we participated as a vendor at the Dallas Farmer's Market, which provided proof of concept for the sauces and within a couple of years I decided to open a BBQ restaurant "Hump's BBQ" under the umbrella of Hump's Food Co., LLC. Hump's Food Co. LLC specializes in quality food options, flavorful sauces and the best family-oriented customer service. Every customer is treated with love and kindness!
